Dave Stine won the Award of Excellence in the furniture category at last week’s American Craft Council Show in Atlanta. The judge said she was particularly struck by Dave’s use of materials — the wood he sustainably harvests himself, the way he lets the wood’s natural beauty shine through, and the fact that his craft really articulates sustainability. I couldn’t agree more! While many makers and craftsmen pay lip service to being green or sustainable, sustainability is truly and absolutely at the core of Dave’s work, and it is wonderful to be recognized for it.

The Atlanta Show was great. We sold lots of work, met some great people, and really appreciated the hospitality and the chance to introduce David Stine Woodworking to the area. We got a lot of love in Atlanta. We will back!
And we are very proud of the award. The ACC is the nation’s champion of American craft, and to be recognized by them is an honor indeed. Thanks ACC!
